Second day of yard sale

Sell it at the yard sale 

Hi guys this is my second day doing the yard sale . I had mentioned how I felt about the first day and how I believe I made more money then I thought I would and I still have all my stuff . I have to encourage anyone who is thinking about doing a yard sale to just do it get on with it it works and it's amazing it's my second day and I already made 200.00 bucks with silly stuff at my yard sale I would be crazy not to do another . Here is the continued story ......

I woke up the next day being more tired then the first because of the sun beaming  down I have to give advise if you do a yard sale stay in the shade and drink plenty of water . So Me and my lovely husband started to set things up this time he stays all day for the yard sale and I know have a partner in crime :) 

We set it all up a little different but the same and I was ready this time I thought well I exceeded my expectations on the first day so what ever today brings me will be amazing even if it is only $10 bucks it would of been amazing to me cause I made more then I thought I would make on the first day . The first hr we sold a psp and some games to go with it $80.00 boom already I have $280.00 from these two days and I feel like it hasn't even started yet . I did notice it was slower then the first day and not a lot of people came but that kinda was a good thing I was worn down from the sun the first day and was tired of tear down and set up . So slow was not a bad thing again I sold my old jewelry and some shoes again and movies books and my curtains some anti aging creams that we're new in the boxes . And some other things I didn't think we're going to sell haha . But I was wowed again the second day cause toward the end around three I started counting and we made $400.00 all together for two days of selling small stuff and I still have all my good stuff to sell and I have some more stuff for anouther yard sale or two I might even sell some of the more expensive nicer items on Craigslist or eBay and still do anouther yard sale for the smaller non expensive items to finish it off . I still have a lot to sell to get rid of all my stuff . But I do have to say in just two days $400.00 goes in my bank account to go toward my rv fund and I am super shocked and happy . That almost was way to easy to make money . Since that was easy I have been thinking about maybe even trying to start a career selling at flea markets but first I'll have to try it out and see if it was as good as my yard sale ? So remember when you think you have nothing to sell and you think you won't get a lot of $ for the stuff you do have , that you think is not worth it well think again cause that saying is right one mans junk is another's treasure . ! Well that is my second amazing day at the yard sale and I still have more stuff to sell I am going to get anouther permit and sell some stuff online to so I'll keep you posted on we're we are and how close we are getting on our big adventure of getting rid of our stuff to full time rv thanks for reading .

First day at the yard sale

Sell it to start it at the yard sale 

So today I am telling everyone I did my first two yard sales I still got to do a couple more sounds like a lot because it is a lot I am selling everything I possibly  own haha I love it . 

   Ok I am going to tell you what I expected what my outcome was and how I did it .

I started out by tagging everything I boxed up everything and put it in categories then I scheduled a day got my permit for two days cost me 5 bucks me and nabor split it because   I asked my nabor if they wanted to join so they said yes and we maid a plan a two family yard sale and we worked as a team and made about 20 signs around my naborhood   we stapled them to post about a week before the yard sale .We also posted on Craigslist that we were throwing a 2 family yard sale posted some of our nicer items for sale on there so people can see what they maybe looking at and then there is a yard sale app on my iPad I found and that helps pin point all the yard sales in the area to the yard sale  experts  out there that have that app and that helped so much . After  our yard sale advertising we were ready to go and had a day In between to rest before our first yard sale ever . I kept thinking (" no one is going to buy my stuff ? What if people steal my good stuff? What do I charge ? am i only going to be making maybe $75.00  . I do have a lot of stuff though ." ) So many thoughts went threw my mind but bed time came fast and I had to much going threw my Braine , Am I going to be able to sleep ? I asked myself . I fell asleep finally .....

   Before I knew it i opened my eyes and it was morning ! 

Yard sale day I better start it was 6:00 in the morning and if i am going to get it ready for all the early birds I better start now . So I did I grabbed our stuff with my husband big mike and we started putting things in order and put shelves up and tarp on the ground set up the table and it looked pretty good like a out door store in a way . There were a few things I was thinking that was not going to sell like my used fake jewels haha they look tarnished and I wouldn't buy them but who knows one mans trash is another's treasure . I had other items that I thought wasn't good like old books and movies and shoes and purses and old projector and things like that I thought maybe I can sell them but I wasn't going to be making barely any thing on my stuff I thought . Me and my husband had some nice stuff like a glass table , gun safe , some bobs nick nacks , curtains and panels that went with the curtains , a computer monitor and a steamer for your clothes , a digital camera and a dog kennel , a book shelf and a beautiful mantel I thought for sure everyone was going to fight for haha really it was in really  good condition . I had expectations to sell my good stuff and barely sell the other stuff who would want that although I wanted them at one point that is why I had them to sell right and that is why I still put them out . My husband had to leave after he helped set me all up he went to work as planed and my niece only 4 yrs younger then me helped with the rest of the stuff and sat with me for this yard sale im glad i am not alone . So here I go my first customer super excited ready to go with my change in my cute leopard print apron  haha . So my first customer went for the books and movies she tried to buy my movies for 25 bucks keep in mind I had over 150 movies in there and I was selling them for 1 buck a piece and that was my game plan and same with the books . And when she offered that I said I'm sorry there a dollar a piece you can get 25 movies for that price and so she was actually kinda mean and snapped at me got in her car a drove off , but I wasn't doing anything wrong I thought or am I ? I questioned myself man what am I doing wrong and then among my thoughts another customer (#2)walked up to me and said don't let anyone talk like that to you that is a great deal ! As she was picking up the movies she bought a few and started looking at other things but before I knew it I was running around collecting money for things I thought was not going to sell good "wow I thought ".

I took a minute to look around and I noticed none of my so called nicer things were selling it was all my junk that I was selling haha . My nabor mentioned to me how she thought I had some really nice things and that  I was going to make a lot of money . I guess I didn't know what I had till I sold them . I was also selling some soda and my nabor was selling some water that I was there best customer I drank a lot of water while I was doing these transactions . 

Before I knew it time flew by and  it was 3:30 and I was now able to sit and relax I posted yard sale ended at 3:00 and it went a little past but I was ok with that I was making some money . So it's over my first day is done and I have all my good stuff still ? It doesn't look like I sold any thing haha . I still had a ton of movies even though I think that was my best seller there was a lot left ? So I guess I have to pack things away thank good ness I have help my niece helped me so much I gave her a bunch of stuff for helping  . We packed up the stuff in boxes and put it down cellar for tomorrows yard sale . Good thing I got two days I still have all my stuff and I made so much already I counted it I made 200.00 my first day with just junk ? Old jewelry that I thought looked like crap sold well and movies books shoes purses clothes wow I was surprised . All my nicer stuff was still here to sell tomorrow and I still had left over of my crap stuff to sell tomorrow to haha that is how I felt about some of my stuff . Any how that was my first day of the yard sale and i have my second day of the yard sale to talk about but later so for now this blog is to be continued ............

Yard sale my first step of the rest of my life

Hello my lovely friends ,

    I want to start and say thank you for reading my blogs  , And because I know its been some while since i wrote i wanted to give a quick updated on we're we are at now . Tomorrow  i am emptying out my storage or at least trying to work on it so I can bring it here to my apartments cellar so I can pre pair for this  weekends yard sale . I've started tagging things with what I think the items are worth to me but are also willing  to be  talked down in price on a few items of course . I do have a lot to do and I absolutely  want to advertise  starting tomorrow  . This is exciting and hard at the same time to get rid of things that I had for a very long time man how did I accumulate so much stuff . But this is the first step of the rest of my life . Pretty soon time will fly and I will be off in my rv but till then I have to start and what better way then to have a yard sale and get rid of everything I own yes everything except my iPad and some clothes and blankets and  little things . I do have to say I have found things that my farther gave me before he died that I don't want to get rid of like his 1916 old news papers still in the paper bags of the olden days wow there super amazing , and I have to figure out which family member I can ask to help me hold that stuff  for a little while till I figure something else out . I think that is one of my biggest personal challenges . So this saturday is the big day I hope everything sells but I must prepare for the worst that it is possible that not everything will sell in that case I'm giving it away to people that need it and that alone is going to feel amazing . I feel like either way the outcome is going to be refreshing .After this yard sale we plan on saving a little bit more so by the end of sept or oct we will be buying our camper and be able to put a few belongings we have and start fresh with this exciting adventure . We plan on preparing before we leave and we have to still do the solar panels and battery banks . And just check everything  over . I have to say that I also feel that we may dip our feet in first before we go full blown so we know what to expect I mean live in the apt an extra month save and just camp a few days a week so we can prepare our selfs and if we feel we are not ready well we will give our selfs a little more time to build our security blanket $. Anyways it was good writing I guess I'll talked to you all again soon going to do some more tagging and finish some more laundry I'll talk to you guys soon take care . Remember home is where your feet are . 

Working to get where I need to be

Hello readers ,
     So today I have to let everyone know We had sold our  truck Yay so we got some cash for that and we also picked up a few jobs big mike works tow jobs a telemarketing and a barbershop and me I work at a hotel cleaning rooms we are doing the yard sale in a few weeks to get more cash and once that happens we will be on our way to being able to look around for wich camper we want we are taking little steps at a time .
      I'm trying to come up with other money making ideas to get us going . There was a set back we got a parking ticket blah so. We have to pay that but at least it wasn't hundreds of dollors .
  I went to a family gathering this week that was fun. Now today I have off but we go back to work tommorrow and plan more for our camper . We feel like we will be in it by sept I hope the hard part is thinking about winter but I think it is possable I had camped in the winter before in fact it really wasn't all that bad . Just block off one room and keep a good heating source near you and you will save some money . There is plenty to do in the winter ski , tube , and plenty of winter activities that are fun on the road . So I am still super excited maybe I'll get my camper before the leaves turn that will be awsome to see drive around and take pictures have a quick lunch in our camper and find anouther spot to take some pictures . We will see we still are super duper excited . Did I tell you about the time I camped in a tent in the winter yeah I did that . I was in a three room tent an nice big one put my stuff in one of the other rooms closed of the room I was sleeping in took a metal bucket dryer hose and coal and a fire and a battery and a little vent fan and connected it up to blow heat in the tent? Put the coal around the metal can or bucket close it put dryer house connecting that to inside the tent with a fan in the dryer house on the tent side and connect the fan to a battery and you got heat blowing in your tent   .not bad . But cold once it where's down. Anyways the camper will be a whole lot different in so many ways I have also camped in the winter with a camper to but I just wanted to share it is possable with even a tent . Well that is it for now have a great day guys .

Side job for extra cash my adventures today and continuing to plan for the rv life

Blogging from Hampton beach so I found a job to get a little fast cash working in a hotel for a week to help them out we worked out deal that ended up giving me some extra cash flow which is always 100% amazing ! so thankful always .

And I get to be a beach bum at the same time hehe I love the beach . I stayed at my niece Amanda's , thanks amanda that was my shout out to her . for the week I  walked  2.5 miles back from work to her house for a few days . the first day was hard cause I wasn't used to the heat and was so hot and I was  so thirsty and not prepaired for the killer heat with no water . I am sorry I'm complaining but if your reading this You mies well know how my day went good and bad and all   but on my blog i also want to keep you updated on our travel plans too I just had to throw extras in there  , I don't want you to think I'm treating this as a diary complaining about walks in hot weather  haha I don't complain a lot , only when I stub my toe or when Amanda's house was flooding today from under the sink I called maintenance and soaked up the water with a towel till he got there it's fixed now  yay Amanda haha . So i had some adventures along the way tomorrow is the end of that work week and I am going home to try and find a more suitable position another words  (something easy to get to Everyday ) . I live in Manchester where I am planning on moving to the road in an rv and I'm working to get me there for right now I am doing odd jobs till I can get a good one and I'm selling things to get to my goal in the rv our adventures for freedom is definitely  busy .this is a short blog today work in the am goodnight guys .

A cool child hood memory of my rv bus and why I like that life style now

It's faith here,

  I wanted to share some childhood memories of when I used to go camping . I believe that my love for freedom started young . One of my favorite memories is when my farther turned a school bus into a camper . What a cool idea .

So I'll see if I can paint a picture in your mind of what it looked like .this was a cool project . It started of yellow of course and my farther wanted a more earthly look so he pick a cream color beige with a brown strip on it he painted the entire bus and built a storage compartment on the top and painted that to . I looked pretty cool on the outside . But on the inside is where my favorite part of my life came into play . We drove around a lot in it and he wanted us to be very comfy so he put a couch in there tv looked like a regular living room it was nice then you go threw the bunk bed area one bunk on top of the other I loved those bunks it was like my own little fort  then if you keep going threw till you get to the back he just put a lil Porte potty  in there for our long drives , wich i was thrilled to take rides in that thing haha . I remember I had to be about six and he would take me everywhere . Sometimes we would pull over and he would climb to the top of the bus where storage was and grab my bike out of there so I can ride my bike and play with all my toys in our big back yard meaning were every we stopped , sometimes it would be at the beach others it would be at the mountains it was always to somewhere new I had a very fulfilling childhood everything was new to me all the time I learned so much and  learned not to take life for granted .  My favorite is falling asleep and waking up in the different spots and the feeling of never being bored. I used to swim a lot so we would take the old tires the ones that used to have the inner tubes in them and we would recycle those and use them as our floats haha . Mom would reuse them also she and dad made planters dad would cut out shapes and turn the tire inside out and mom would paint them and people always wanted to buy them cause they were very  creative they made money when they needed it and boy I loved to see them create them . We have 1 picture of me and my lil brother (lil mike)   on the bus   sitting on the hood of it  . I will have to add that some other time it's in my storage I need to get that out anyways . So because of my child hood and all the fun times I had with different scenery I think that contributes to how I am now . I just love that way of living and I am blessed to have a great fun family to teach me how to enjoy my life . That's all guys hope you have fun reading my interesting stories . Planning our start and telling stories of the past camping we've done when we got married .

Dear , Friends

    This is my planning blog today I'm gonna talk where are we ? And whats are plan ? Plans are have to fit in with our  schedule and budget , but as of now we are thinking more and more about our freedom .we have become in trapped with just things . We have way to much stuff .

      What do we do about this problem ? Well we need to think of strategies that will make us money to get rid of these things that are holding us down.

So our first strategy to sell or scrap one of our broken down cars , the suv doesn't run it's a 97 Nissan pathfinder 4door under 139 miles but it has a bad timing chain and need a muffler and there rust above the front wheel well . 

     So I really need to get rid of it and put the money away. Then I am planning a yard sale to get rid of all the brand news stuff I bought that I shouldn't have bought . (It will be a nice yard sale at least . ) then I have storage and with the yard sale happening I can free up some of that money. 

    After I've put that in the bank we can put everything we make from our jobs in our savings as well as the sales of the yard sale and the Nissan and have enough for a start . It still with our calculations is going to take a couple of months because we do have a lot of bills . We were thinking about the winter and we have many options for the winter time . We are still gonna work our reg job even after we move into our camper so that we can save a little bit more but this time with less bills and stay in one area that will accumulate very fast and by the point were we will find our selfs saved up enough of a cushion .

  

My husband (Big Mike)  and I  , have been talking about traveling for a while so when we get to this moment it will be our glory . Now remember when we first met I was living in a campground full time in a honey 33 footer camper and he moved in with me after we got married . I left one thing out we had our ceremony with all our friends at that camp ground in epsom nh circle nine ranch it was a beautiful hall they usually do line dancing there it was already decorated, And all they wanted was $50 an hr we did four hrs there we had the wedding and the reception part there and went back to our camp after to get ready for our honey moon in north Conway .  So we are used to camping full time . We got married in the middle of camping ! 

    Now I wouldn't recommend camping with no knowledge of winterizing your rig cause we learned how to deal with no water we didn't have it hooked up in our camper we did winterize the rest of it cover the windows got rid of drafts mostly . How did we take showers do our laundry and wash our hands and go the bathroom ? Well we walked to the reck hall sometimes it wasn't so bad it gave us exercise  gave us some kinda excitement to just get to some water everyday . We were on the top of the hill and in the winters ice builds heavy on those hills so we slipped a lot in the freezing temperatures .  

Summer time was gorgeous . We can walk to my mothers camper around the bin and visit my mother and my brother . They had a  separate  camper they moved into . So that was nice we still had our family there .the campground itself was .  Full of trees we can walk to the lake and take a  long walk to the bathroom that wasn't bad gave us  exercise . There was a pool there we swam at all the time . We walked our puppy we got together at the park . We had free wifi hookup . And the best part the fires at night . I have a projector so when I wanted to watch something on the big screen I could just pull it out sit next to the fire and watch a movie out side on the big screen . That was nice . But the hard part is that when we wanted to move we felt stuck we didn't know how to do all this attachment stuff to the camper we couldn't move it we had to sell it . I like the rv better no hook ups you can just drive it away and not have these kinds of problems . So i had to sell it even though it sounded like a nice place I was getting antsy and it's the place my farther had a heart attack and got picked up by an ambulance there it was really not a happy moment after that , and we ended up moving with a friend and then to apartments which I didn't feel like home .  Now remember I was left that camper when my dad had a heart attack there at that campground before me and mike came about and that  camper was left with my mother and I and my brother  after dad died me and mike met and got married in that time frame , and my Farther was the one who hooked it up to move it there in the first place , when he was alive so when he died we just took it over lived in it for a while and had to leave those memories behind . That was a hard time in my life to get over that . So we've been in apartments for five yrs. and now here we are planning again to be at home on the road .but this time in an rv we can hook up and more knowledge then when  first started and not being in the same campground dad had his heart attack . So this is going to be special I think in a way I will feel like dad is camping with me . In memory of my dad  and our marriage maybe we will visit that place maybe we won't . There certainly good and bad memories there . But the road life is my home I'll tell you another story   Of camping some other time till then we are getting ready to sell things so talk to you guys later .
